Mini Album

Here is a mini made from one sheet of double sided paper.  My friend Kathy holds a crop in her home every Thursday.  One of the ladies there demonstrated how to make this mini.  Kathy supplied the paper and Mary the instructions.  We all tried it and loved the project. Thanks ladies!

It is bound with a piece of card stock and the tags were cut on the Cricut.

FLY

This is a mini card.  It is hard to see because I need a new camera so badly-I need to take up a collection before I can get another one- lol.  I just used the scraps I had left from another project.  Bird and heart punch outs.  I sewed a random zig zag pattern on the card to create sections and then I doodled in each section.

Fighting the blues

This ATC was inspired by the Happy Easter greeting I saw on this blog.  I am not sure if this was a stamp, but I doodled the drawing.  I have been singing "Jesus Loves Me" ever since.  The message is always timely.  I have been fighting the blues for a few days and reading this made me smile and motivated to craft something.  Truly Jesus is risen.  While he was on the cross I was on his mind-that's LOVE!  Thanks Stephanie for sharing your art and the love of Christ!

Materials: Water Color pencil, gel pens (white and black), MS writing marker, BIC Mark it markers, glittered heart sticker, white cs.

Also submitted to Word Art Wednesday #85

Mini Cards

I am always using my scraps.  I was making pinwheels the other day.  So I just grabbed what was on my desk and this is what I came up with.

Materials: Acrylic paint, scrap cs, button, bling, ribbon, Inkadinkado stamp set, colorbox chalk ink, decorative edge scissors.

Also shared on "Show your splatter".

My Black is beautiful #20

The prompt: Your loves...however you define..other than people #20.  Yes, I am still working on the MBIB challenges- a year later (LOL).  Here is a lo I made of my love, my fur baby, Dugan.

Materials: acrylic paint, homemade silver shimmer spray, 'What I love today' studio G stamp, alphas from resale store, pp scraps, ric rac, sunburst white gel pen, Martha Stewart black marker, heart punch, white embossing powder.

Sentiment: My Beautiful Black IS loving Dugan.  Journaling: Dugan and I bonded on the car ride home.  Love it!!!

Thinking of You

I was inspired by a card that I saw on the FB Scrapping 24/7 page.  Now I do not recall subscribing to this page, but posts started showing up on my timeline.  I am not complaining because I could always use the inspiration. (LOL)  The original card is made using pinwheels.  Check it out on this blog.

This is a Sympathy card.  I usually do not make or send sympathy cards until later.  You know when the covered dishes, phone calls and visits become scarce.  I figure the grieving person(s) could use some happy mail.
Inside Sentiment:Our hearts, our prayers and our love are with you.

June Virtual Scrapbook Pajama Party

This is the lo I made while playing along at the Scraps Of Color Monthly Online Scrapbook Pajama Party  I really did try to follow the sketch, but as usual I veered from it a bit...well a LOT!  LOL  The hostess, Tiare also made a card from the leftover paper.  Since I was using mostly scraps anyway I did not make a card.

Title: Sweet dreams are made of...food
Journaling: Dugan loves food so much I bet he even thinks about eating when he is sleeping.  I often say "My guy lives for FOOD"
Materials: scrap pp and cs, bone buttons, paw print ribbon, thickers, glitter pen, zig marker, colorbox chalk ink.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you come again soon.

My Black is Beautiful Challenge 16

This was a challenge that I started last year on the SOC .ning site.  I am STILL working my way through the prompts.  The prompt was hobbies.  I chose to only scrap one...SCRAPBOOKING!  I am not so sure that scrapbooking is a hobby as much as it has become a way of life.  My digital camera must be about to go to the digital camera graveyard...so sorry for the blurry pictures lately.

Materials: scrap paper, scrap congregated card board, ribbon and flowers from stash, pin from a swap, EK Success border punch, dollar store butterflies, brads, bling, black pitt pen, brown zig pen, white gel pen, gold glitter pen, walnut stain distress ink, colorbox chalk ink, alphabet stamps

Sentiment: My beautiful BLACK is being...Addicted to Scrapbooking

This was also entered in First Fridays Chat Challenge:  Where I used the posted sketch as a guideline and included a fold.  My title on the pp dictated that I alter the sketch to suit my vision for the lo.  Rarely am I able to follow a sketch exactly.  Even when I draw out a sketch of the project in my head by the time I finish the project doesn't resemble the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you come again soon.
